Gazebo Issues

Nathaniel Lewis-21
I have just recompiled Gazebo 0.10 against the release of Ogre 1.7.  It
loads and runs except the screen flickers like crazy and I don't know
what is going on.  I know Ogre works fine for I compiled the samples
when I built it and did some programming with it by itself.  So I am
pretty sure the error is on the Gazebo side.  I am running an ATI Radeon
HD 5770 graphics card (for 3D development).  I really need some help
with this.

With Ubunutu 9.10 I have had same problem. I have just disabled any special
effects for the desktop.

Re: Gazebo Issues

Wow, that actually worked.  Well, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised,
Blender has issues with drawing stuff that isn't Blender when I am
running Ogre.  Thanks.  I am trying to use Gazebo to help start a
robotics club at my school considering that I have no idea what kind of
parts I can get my hands on.  If I can use a simulation to help them get
familiar with programming, that would be awesome.

Re: Gazebo Issues

pt523
I've exactly the same issue. I have tried Gazebo on 4 different computers. The screen flickering issue happens only on 2 computers which are using ATI Radeon cards (x1200 and HD5660). Other 2 computers using Nvidia card work just fine.

- Could you please give me some advise what exactly I have to do to solve this? I have tried to disable everything I can in ATI Catalyst Control Center.
- Is this issue happened only on ATI graphic cards?

Regards,
Piti
