Fedora Core 10 Gazebo and OGRE

Giuseppe Marullo
[root@millap004a gazebo]# scons
scons: Reading SConscript files ...
detected CPU atributes: -mmmx -msse -msse2 -msse3
Checking for pkg-config... (cached) yes
Checking for ogre >= 1.6.0...no
 Error: OGRE version = >= 1.6.0 not found.

Ogre is installed indeed:

rpm -qa | grep ogre
ogre-1.6.0-2.fc10.i386
ogre-devel-1.6.0-2.fc10.i386

Got the same problem about ODE.

Any clue?
TIA,

Giuseppe Marullo

Make sure the .pc file from each library is located within your PKG_CONFIG_PATH path. I know that the ODE 0.10.1 source package failed to include the ode.pc file. When I upgraded, I had to get a copy of the file from the ODE source code repository.

Re: Fedora Core 10 Gazebo and OGRE

Giuseppe Marullo
Sandy,
thanks this fixed OGRE, then I have the same problem about ODE. I
searched for the ode.pc  on the laptop and their SVN no dice. How can I
go past this error?
Thanks,

Giuseppe

Dear Giuseppe:
  .pc files are frequently generated when you compile a software library. You can either compile the svn version with the same options that you used when you compiled ode-0.10.1 and move the file into your PKG_CONFIG_PATH or simply modify the version attached to this e-mail, changing the first line and correcting any compile time option differences. The attached file was generated with:
./configure --enable-double-precision --prefix={Desired location}
make
make install
